FAIRBANKS, Alaska—
A Fairbanks man has been sentenced to five months in jail for biting off a piece of another man's ear.The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (http://is.gd/l3gWW4) says 31-year-old Shane Michael Ante pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor assault in the ear-biting incident.
He also admitted to one count of harassment in a separate incident for flicking blood at two prison guards.
Court documents say Ante was arrested in September 2011 after a report that he bit off a third of a 39-year-old man's ear and also bit a 21-year-old woman's arm. He was arrested again in April 2012 after a report he struck his ex-girlfriend.
Ante must also pay restitution and do 200 hours of community service.
