A Fort Wainwright soldier who killed a fellow soldier last summer has been convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to a dishonorable discharge and four years in a military prison.
The Fairbanks News-Miner reports (http://is.gd/ze1qEh) that a court martial was held last month for 22-year-old Joshua Jordan Corona. He fatally shot 19-year-old Jawaun Collins at Corona's apartment, where the two men had been drinking.
Army spokesman John Pennell said Corona will serve his time at the military prison in Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
Civilian criminal charges were dropped against Corona last year. Fairbanks police said the incident was an accidental shooting followed by an attempted cover-up.

The military courts are not to blame its the lawyers who make deals and our justice system. look at two famous civilian case, O.J. Simpson and Casey Anthony. Have you forgotten those two.
