DETROIT—
Armando Galarraga will be staying with the
Detroit Tigers, agreeing to a one-year contract.The right-hander missed a perfect game June 2 when a bad call cost him what would have been the final out. He went 4-9 with a 4.49 ERA last year in 24 starts. He also made eight appearances with Triple-A Toledo in 2010, going 4-2 with a 3.65 ERA.
Galarraga was the last remaining Tiger eligible for arbitration. The team did not immediately release financial terms.
Galarraga turned 29 Saturday. In four major league seasons - three with Detroit and one with Texas - he is 23-26 with a 4.58 ERA.
