FREMONT, Mich.—
The new Fremont High School will be unveiled to the public Sunday afternoon.A grand opening ceremony for the new 170,000-square-foot structure is slated for 3 p.m. at the school, located at 5421 S. Warner, just north of 56th Street and just south of the Newaygo County Fairgrounds.
Fremont is the state of Michigan's only new high school to open this year. It features two gyms, a multi-purpose cafeteria, a full-service kitchen and servery, a Steelcase MediaScape and learning labs, state-of-the-art science labs with integrated technology and geothermal wells for heating and cooling.
The entire school project cost $39.9 million.
