GRAND RAPIDS, Mich—
A man in his 20's was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a road near a Grand Rapids mall Thursday night..Police say the man was crossing 28th St. SE, near the East Beltline after leaving the Krispy Kreme donut shop located outside of Kentwood's Centerpointe Mall a little before 6 p.m. He was said to be heading to a hotel across the street.
In the process, the man was hit by a van. The driver of the van tried to avoid the man but was unable to. The victim is said to have non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the van wasn't ticketed.
