The Washington County Free Library will host its First Editions Fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 18, at the Boonsboro branch library at 401 Potomac St. in Boonsboro.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at any branch library, by calling 301-739-3250, ext. 128, or by going to www.washcolibrary.org.

The event will include light refreshments, music, and silent and live auctions.

Local authors Gail Barrett, Susan Donovan, Lauren Carr and Tim Rowland will be on hand. Turn the Page Bookstore will have books by these authors available for purchase and signing throughout the event.

The silent auction will include more than 60 autographed books, many of them first editions from New York Times best-selling authors, including Catherine Counter, J.D. Robb, Mary Higgins Clark, Paula Deen, John Grisham, Terry Brooks, Clive Cussler, Dean Koontz, Janet Evanovich and Michael Connelly. The live auction will include a variety of gift items and gift certificates from various local businesses and restaurants, as well as autographed Lou Scally, Nora Roberts and Elizabeth Schulze bobblehead figures.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the library’s building fund.
