Lisa McMillon
Professional experience — Managed a geothermal plant in Calipatria, currently a real estate broker with commercial and residential sales experience, as well as a substitute teacher for grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
Interests in serving on the council — McMillon would like to help utilize Brawley’s strategic location to create a more lucrative business environment.
Helen M. Noriega
Professional experience — Currently a board member for Brawley Union High School for 11 years, and a board member for Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program for eight years.
Interests in serving on the council — Noriega wants to work together to upgrade services in the downtown area and clean up the city to make it look presentable to the public and visitors, and will work with the entire staff to be the best city in the nation.
Lee A. Quarcelino Sr.
Professional experience — Manager for 33 years with Peabody Coal Co. and 10 years with U.S. Fish and Wildlife at the Salton Sea, four years with Brawley Union High School, a year with Barbara Worth Junior High School, managed 330 men and 36 foremen, as well as dealt with budgets for a 5 million-ton a year operation at Black Mesa Mine in Arizona.
Interests in serving on the council — Quarcelino would like to make the police, fire and public works department completely sovereign through the upcoming years.
Jeremy Rodriguez
Professional experience — Currently works for the outreach program CAL Soup and studies as a graduate student.
Interests in serving on the council — Rodriguez would like to be the voice and impact positive changes in my city, as well as being part of the solution and move toward a great city.
Donald Wharton
Professional experience — Spent 26 years in professional aviation, 14 years in agricultural aviation, with 10 years as owner and operator of Ag Flite Inc., Stoker Co., and Flite Co. LLC
Interests in serving on the council — Wharton’s interests are his dedication to the mission of serving the citizens and positively influence the quality of life in Brawley. His in-laws represent some of the earliest pioneers to this county.
