A carjacking attempt with a knife was reported Saturday morning near a methadone clinic on Main Street.
El Centro police received the report around 9:10 a.m., after a resident alleged that a man with a scruffy beard and wearing a black shirt and black shorts pulled a knife and stuck the reporting party with the knife without breaking skin.
The suspect was last seen walking north on Broadway near Seventh Street, according to the logs, which don’t describe how the reporting party got away from the situation.
The logs do note the reporting party was accompanied by his 4-year-old son during the incident.
Pregnant woman reports abuse
A pregnant female alleged that her boyfriend attempted to choke her and slammed her head against cement Saturday night.
The incident was reported shortly before midnight, according to the logs, which don’t show the area where the alleged incident took place.
A suspect is identified in the logs, but no further information was available Sunday night.
