KODIAK, Alaska—
The body of a Kodiak man was pulled Friday from St. Herman Harbor.Police Chief T.C. Kamai tells KMXT that it didn't appear Donald Werbe, 64, was in the water long.
A caller to 911 late Friday morning notified officials of a body in the channel. Harbormasters recovered the body, and paramedics on shore pronounced him dead.
Kamai says police have determined Werbe was on the floats in St. Herman Harbor earlier Friday, and police would like to talk to anyone who saw him.
Kamai says there were no obvious signs of trauma. The body will be sent to Anchorage for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
