Kodiak is finally getting some love for its bad weather.
KMXT reports (http://is.gd/ZkXKNw) Kodiak came out on top in a survey by the makers of Gore-Tex fabric. The company asked hunters to rate the best places to hunt in the worst conditions.
Tim Dennis with W.L. Gore Associates says Kodiak was a clear front-runner in the survey that looked at several categories.
He says Kodiak was listed by more respondents for destination and scored well across the board for quality and quantity of wild game and scenery.
Kodiak's treacherous terrain and constantly changing weather conditions were listed as factors that contributed to the hunters' overall experience and challenge.
Dennis says even though Kodiak has the worst weather conditions, it's still the best place to hunt.
