The Alaska State Trooper's spokesperson says a rear-end crash at McHugh Creek caused a  three car pile up and held up traffic on the New Seward Highway near mile marker 111 for about three hours.

Beth Ipsen says four people were hurt as a car turning into the McHugh Creek parking lot was rear-ended by another car. A third car could not stop in time and was also involved in the crash. Only one person was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

All traffic lanes were open by 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
