A house fire on Saturday evening injured two people and sent them to the hospital.
The fire began in the bedroom of a home on Kim Place in northeast Anchorage.
The Anchorage Fire Department responded to the fire around 8 p.m. with 15 units, and responders were told there was still a person inside the residence.
Crews were able to locate and evacuate the person. They treated the patient and transported the patient to the hospital.
Fire officials did not release the gender of the patient.
There were several other patients on scene that made it out of the residence, but only one other was transported to the hospital.
Several pets were also rescued from the residence and were transported to Animal Control.
Crews contained the fire in the bedroom of origin, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Fire officials estimate the loss of the residence at $30,000.
