Anchorage Police continue their search for the shooter, or shooters who killed a 19-year-old this past Thursday morning.

Neighbors in the Mountain View apartment complex where Devante Jordan was shot said the neighborhood has been quiet since the shooting, but they are still scared.

"I'm going to have to get to a safer place," said Patricia Williams, a neighbor in the area. "I know my grand kids and my daughter has kept telling me, 'mother this isn't a safe place for you.'”

Police interviewed Tevin Timberlake, a possible witness to the shooting, but they are not releasing what he told them.

"The detectives are making good progress and again this is a very serious crime so they've thrown a lot of resources at it," said Lt. Dave Parker a spokesperson for the Anchorage Police Department.
