An Anchorage pharmacist was convicted of forgery on March 11, 2013.
An investigation by the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing revealed that between 2009 and 2012, 42-year-old Ronald Engberson had forged more than 90 prescriptions for himself. Engberson was the Pharmacist in Charge at a Carrs Pharmacy in south Anchorage during that time period.
According to the State of Alaska's Department of Law, Engberson forged prescriptions for 27 types of medications, including controlled substances like hydrocodone, lidocaine, and diazepam.
Engberson was convicted of felony forgery and sentenced to two years probation.
