The two officers that fired their weapons during an armed confrontation Sunday evening have been identified by APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker.
Officers Angela Fraize and Robert Block fired their service weapons at 22-year-old Kyle Garett Swann after he pointed a handgun at them. Swann was hit in the left arm.
Six shots were fired during the incident; five of the shots have been accounted for by investigators.
Officer Fraize has served with the Anchorage Police Department for five years, Officer Block has been with APD for one year.
Swann is still in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This incident is still undergoing investigation.
