ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
Ashley Bashore pleaded guilty Thursday to criminally negligent homicide for a 2011 Easter Sunday hit-and-run fatality.

Bashore was charged with the death of Hubert Tunuchuk.

Police say Bashore hit Tunuchuk as he was walking on Tudor Road and didn't stop or call 911 for help.

Investigators say evidence shows she may have been texting while driving. 

Bashore also pleaded guilty to failing to render assistance to an injured person after an accident.

Her sentencing hearing is set for October 19th.
