The Anchorage Assembly voted Tuesday evening on whether or not to approve the sale and transfer of Rumrunner's liquor license to to T.G.I. Friday's owner Bruce Burnett.

By a vote of 8 to 3, the assembly voted to tentatively support the new restaurant plans and transfer the liquor license as long as T.G.I. Friday's met certain conditions.

Patrick Flynn, Harriet Drummond, and Elvi Gray-Jackson were all opposed to the transfer.

A resolution before the assembly protested the renewal and transfer of Rumrunner's liquor license because of multiple incidents at the bar that required excessive calls to the police department.
