A Bethel man has died after being found in an unheated home in sub-zero temperatures.
KYUK reports Norbert Kashatok was pronounced dead at a Bethel hospital early Tuesday morning.
Authorities say friends found him unresponsive and lying on the floor about 2 a.m. Tuesday, when it was seven below. They couldn't wake him up, and responding medicals could not find a pulse. The began CPR and took him to the hospital.
Officials say he and possibly others were attempting to live in the home even though it didn't have heat.
Police say no foul play is suspected, and they are not investigating further.
