ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The state has announced an emergency order closure of resident hunting season in the Unit 18 Kuskokwim River hunt area.Fish and Game officials say the area includes the Lower Kuskokwim River drainage where the hunting season for antlered bull moose closes at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday night.
Based on harvest reports, the quota of 75 bull moose will be reached by the closing date and no further harvest is warranted.
All other moose hunting regulations in Unit 18 remain unchanged by this emergency order.
