33-year-old Brandon Wright, of Anchorage, was identified Tuesday morning by Anchorage police as the vehicle-pedestrian victim of a crash that happened over the weekend.

The Anchorage Police Department said Wright “did not survive his injuries and was declared deceased at the scene of the collision” at the midtown intersection of Tudor Road and Arctic Boulevard.

The crash happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. October 20 when a Honda sedan headed west on Tudor and hit Wright, who was crossing the Arctic Boulevard intersection, according to Lt. Dave Parker, APD Public Information Officer.

"Witnesses told responding officers that westbound traffic had a green ball signal and that the pedestrian stepped out into traffic while walking southbound," Parker wrote in a Saturday statement on the crash.

APD’s detectives with the Major Investigation Team continue its investigation.
