Friends of Josh Jennett, owner of Josh Jennett's Jewelry Cache located on East Benson Blvd., hosted a silent auction and benefit yesterday to support their ailing friend.
Jennett has been battling stage four liver and colon cancer. His friends held this auction to help him pay for his medical bills.
Organizers of the auction came up with this simple saying to explain why individuals should donate: "Because it's Josh," they say.
Friends say that Jennett was always helping others in the community.
"He is just a pillar of the community," said Rita Corwin, a friend of Jennett's, "He has been here for years and years. Anytime anybody has a charity and they ask Josh for help, he is the first one in line."
