A jury has been picked to hear the murder trial of a man accused of killing two Hoonah police officers.
The panel of three women and 11 men was selected late Wednesday afternoon in the trial of John Marvin Jr.
State court judge David George said he would choose the alternates later. A jury of 12 ultimately will decide the matter.
Marvin is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of weapons misconduct after Sgt. Anthony Wallace and Officer Matthew Tokuoka of the Hoonah Police Department were gunned down in front of Marvin's residence on Aug. 28, 2010.
Opening arguments are scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday.
