A 37-year-old Juneau man has been sentenced to two years in prison on a plea deal that reduced charges of sexual abuse of a minor to a count of indecent exposure.

Joshua David Burger was sentenced Monday at a hearing temporarily halted when he apparently suffered a seizure.

The Juneau Empire (http://is.gd/MZUXVI) says Superior Court Judge Philip Pallenberg said he believed Burger was guilty of more than what he pleaded guilty to, but added that rejecting the September deal would not be in the victim's best interest.

Burger was initially indicted on 100 counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. That indictment was dismissed, and Burger was later re-indicted on four counts of sexually abusing a minor, then he later pleaded guilty to the lesser indecent exposure charge.
