A 21-year-old Juneau man on probation from a fatal car crash in 2009 is back in custody.
Thomas Tyler Emerson on Wednesday acknowledged he had violated terms of his release by drinking and driving.
He will be jailed while he awaits a sentencing hearing Oct. 31.
The Juneau Empire (http://bit.ly/OXwxUU) reports Emerson was 18 and just out of high school three years ago when he drove drunk with two passengers.
He lost control of his car at Mile 37 Glacier Highway and the crash killed 18-year-old Taylor Bristol White.
Emerson pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and was sentenced to six years in prison with five suspended.
Police on June 2 stopped Emerson for speeding and measured alcohol in his blood.
