A ceremony welcoming a transferred Coast Guard cutter to southeast Alaska is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday in Juneau.
   
KINY-radio reports the 110-foot Chandeleur is being moved north from Miami to help to help regional responses in southeast Alaska.
   
The Chandeleur will be based in Ketchikan.
   
The vessel is an Island Class patrol boat with a crew of 18.
   
The Chandeleur was commissioned in 1988 and will be the newest cutter assigned to the Alaska district.
   
It is coming off a recent modernization and maintenance period at the Coast Guard yard in Baltimore.
