Anchorage, Alaska—
A local dentist opened up his doors early on Saturday to provide free dental services to those in the community who did not have insurance, or could not afford dental work.
Dr. Terry Preece with the Anchorage Healthy Smiles Center says the line formed early and some people waited for hours. But, he says no one complained, and everyone seemed very grateful to receive the free dental care.
Preece says there are so many people who do not qualify for Medicaid or do not have dental insurance, and he wanted to help them out.
The free dental clinic has become sort of tradition near Valentine's Day. This is its second year.
