Miller opposes Murkowski motion to intervene in suit

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—

U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller is opposing Sen. Lisa Murkowski's motion to intervene in his lawsuit against the state. In a response filed Friday, Miller's attorneys say the state is the sole entity in dealing with enforcement and application of state law at issue.

Murkowski has declared victory in the Senate race with a 10,000-vote lead, a total which includes 8,000 ballots contested by Miller observers.

Miller is seeking to block certification of the general election. His lawsuit alleges elections officials illegally counted improperly marked votes for Murkowski.

I agree with gqqglman and chiliwili. I'm disappointed as much as anyone else at how the Miller campaign handled things. I am more concerned however, at how blatant voter fraud and skirting the election laws has been overlooked. Miller isn't going to win no matter what happens with a recount. I'm sure he knows this. However, improprieties must be addressed. Murkowski isn't as lilly white as she makes herself out to be. It's unfortunate but I think once again we've ended up with "the lesser of two evils."

Let the state recount, then when we find out that the results are still the same send the bill to Joe Miller along with a one way ticket back to Kansas!!

Joe Miller and his cohorts are bound and dertmined to pursue this path---their right to do so, but Mr. Miller, at some point you'll have to wrap this up and move on with your life path and seek other ventures. Opposing Lisa Murkowski's (spelled it correctly, didn't I?) motion to intervene is much like asking the main player and winner to 'bow out!' Stop pouting and acting like a 'spoiler.' You have taught me one thing---to avoid the Repubs and mostly, the likes of the Tea Party!
