ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
On Saturday afternoon, the Mat-Su borough dive team recovered the body of 55-year old Palmer resident, Randy Francis from Matanuska Lake.
State troopers received a report Friday morning that boaters on the lake found an unoccupied and overturned canoe floating in the lake.
As the boaters approached the canoe, they found 70-year old Michael Francis's body floating in the water, but Randy was nowhere to be found.
Francis was from Pocatello, Idaho.
Troopers say the dive team recovered Randy's body about 35-feet underwater at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
It appears neither of the brothers were wearing life jackets.
