A 39-year-old man will spend five years in a federal prison for selling 37 grams of crack cocaine, the last of five people from Grenada, Mississippi to be sentenced for trafficking drugs in Alaska.
Prosecutors say in a Friday release that Gregory Donell Winters was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Anchorage.
The Mississippi man serving the longest sentence is David Tidwell, who got 15 years for drug trafficking and weapons violations. When he was sentenced in Anchorage, Chief U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Beistline noted Tidwell's affiliation with the Chicago street gang, the Gangster Disciples.
