ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The Anchorage Police Department Homicide Unit detectives have identified the deceased male that was found December 2 in the East 20th Avenue and Arctic Boulevard area, according to APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker.
The male is Carl Oxereok Sr., a 39-year-old Mountain View resident.
It was a Guardian Security officer that found Oxereok that early Sunday morning. Oxereok's body was lying on the sidewalk, he had an obvious head injury.
APD Crime Scene detectives investigated the area, but found no signs of a scuffle. The Alaska State Medical Examiner is conducting a death investigation, but findings have not indicated any signs of foul play.
