Anchorage, Alaska—
A small experimental plane was forced to crash-land in Chugiak Sunday morning, right on the edge of the Old Glenn Highway, according to Anchorage police. Police say the pilot, Craig Walls, was not injured. Officers on scene say it appears the plane was having engine problems.
"It was pefectly in the ditch, the wing wasn't even in the highway. So he did a really good job on his crash landing," said Melody Gilliland who works at the Rural Discount Center, just feet away from where the crash-landing happened.
Police say traffic wasn't affected-- officers did not have to close the road.
