12 p.m.: A breaker at the O'Malley substation of Chugach Electric's opened, cutting power to 766 customers. A crew was dispatched to correct the issue.
Around 11:10 a.m.: Chugach Electric has re-energized a transmission line between Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, restoring power to those communities. About 2,150 customers were affected by outages this morning.
In the Anchorage Bowl, Chugach Electric crews are responding to small, scattered outages but nothing major.
Around 6:00 a.m.: Chugach Electric reports: In Northeast Anchorage, 1,777 customers were without power, some starting around 3:00 a.m., but at this time power has been restored to most. Smaller outages affected customers in East Anchorage, Oceanview and on the Hillside in the vicinity of Rabbit Creek and Goldenview. Chugach currently has four crews on duty responding to outages and restoring service.
Around 3:00 a.m.: Chugach Electric reports: About 1,000 customers without power in the Muldoon area. Crews have been dispatched.
2:22 a.m.: MEA reports: Crews removed tree from the lines in Peters Creek. Power has been restored.
1:05 a.m.: MEA reports: Approx. 800 members without power in Birchwood/Peters Creek area.
12:15 a.m.: MEA reports: there is an outage in Peters Creek. Crews are responding. Cause unknown at this time.
