ANCHORAGE, Alaska—An all-Alaska film hopes to shine a spotlight on the dangers of drinking. “Proper Binge,” written by Michael Burns and Dean Q. Mitchell, is a dark comedy.
The film focuses on the life of an alcoholic who strives for sobriety after a drunken mishap threatens both his best friend's life and his family's love for him.
alcoholism, and shows real consequences with that,” Burns said.
“It's got a really good message -- it's not a preachy movie, but it gets its point across pretty well and it's about as realistic as we can possibly get, as far as a story goes,” said 1964 Motion Pictures executive producer Chery Manning.
The independent film is in need of serious investors to get it off the ground.
