A small red sedan was connected with the 42nd Ave. shooting Tuesday afternoon that injured one man with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle seen driving away from the area by witnesses.
Lt. Dave Parker, APD Public Information Officer, said the person or people inside the sedan may have been involved in the assault or may be witnesses.
On Wednesday, police identified the victim as 39-year-old Charles Sherrill Jr. who remains in critical condition.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m., Nov. 13 near 42nd Ave, between Dale and Piper Streets.
Anyone with information about the red sedan or shooting is asked to called the Anchorage Police Department at 786-8900.
