Army Spc. Kip Lynch, who allegedly shot his 19-year-old wife and 8-month-old daughter before turning the gun on himself, has recovered from his injuries and has been indicted for murder.

Lynch was found by coworkers seriously wounded from a gunshot in his apartment April 23. The bodies of his wife, Raquell, and 8-month-old daughter Kyirsta were in another room.

The Army says Lynch was treated in Washington state and has recovered sufficiently from his injuries to be charged with the crimes.

An Anchorage grand jury returned an indictment for two counts of murder in the first degree and two counts of murder in the second degree on Thursday. The Army returned Lynch to Alaska to face the charges. He is expected to be arraigned Friday.
