ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
Former Sen. Ted Stevens will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery, a family spokesperson confirmed Friday. The burial will happen Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 1:00 in the afternoon, the spokesperson said.
Stevens, a World War II veteran, will be buried with honors. The ceremony will be open to family and friends.
There was speculation that Stevens would be interned at Angelus Cemetery, off Klatt Road in Anchorage, where his first wife Ann is buried.
Stevens was killed in a plane crash near Dillingham Aug. 9.
