Anchorage Police swarmed an area near the Rangeview trailer court in Muldoon Friday morning as they searched for a man who police say rammed a police car in an attempt to run from an outstanding warrant.
Police say they were trying to arrest 27 year old Joshua Greene Friday morning. As he slept in his car outside, police say they boxed the car in, but when they approached to arrest him, Greene rammed one of the police cars in an attempt to escape.
Several police units tracked Greene to the woods in the Rangeview trailer court in Muldoon, where they set up a perimeter for about an hour, as the search for Greene continued.
Around 11 a.m., police units left the area, after APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker says it was concluded that Greene was able to escape.
Police say damage to the rammed police car was minor enough that the car was able to be driven away.
