A woman passenger was killed after a vehicle rolled off Coffman Cove Road Saturday afternoon.
According to Alaska State Troopers, the 2005 Jeep Cherokee was traveling at high speeds, northbound on the road at about 5:30 p.m. It drove off the road and into a ditch, rolling until it stopped about 150 feet into the woods.
Kimberly Schurte, 28 of Craig, was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. Troopers said she was found dead at the scene.
The driver and two other passengers were all seriously injured, but none of the injuries were life-threatening. They were flown off Prince of Wales Island for further treatment.
Troopers are still investigating the incident, but they believe that high speeds and alcohol were involved.
