The Robert J. Dole Veteran's Administration Hospital in Wichita will pay almost $18,000 in fines.
The Environmental Protection Agency says the fines are for several hazardous waste violations. They include improper handling of used oil and antifreeze, and improper disposal of waste pharmaceuticals.
The E.P.A. also says the hospital has agreed to spend nearly $62,000 for a building to house accumulated hazardous waste.
