A man has been charged with robbing his sister in her Fairbanks home.
Alaska State Troopers say Daniel W. Thompson is being held without bail.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that Thompson's sister told troopers she was asleep on Dec. 16 when she awoke to a man standing over her, pointing something at her and demanding money. She told troopers she threw her purse at him.
Three days later, her wallet was recovered as part of an authorized search of a vehicle. Police say one of the occupants, 21-year-old Christopher Ray Ross, admitted to participating in the robbery.
A criminal complaint says Ross waited outside the bedroom while Thompson threatened his sister with a replica firearm that shoots pellets. The complaint says the two got away with about $250.
