Leonard Nimoy Says Alaska 'Is Absolutely Beautiful'
Leonard Nimoy, famous for his iconic and stoic Mr. Spock character in the "Star Trek" franchise, showed a little emotion this week.
Nimoy told the Ketchikan Daily News that Alaska is "absolutely beautiful" and people are lucky to live here.
He was in the state on a cruise, making stops in Anchorage, Seward, Sitka, Juneau and Skagway.
Nimoy tweeted about his vacation to Alaska, saying "one beautiful trip."
He ended the tweet with LLAP, which stands for live long and prosper, a departing salutation for his half-Vulcan, half-human character that he played on the original TV series in the 1960s and subsequent movies.
