JUNEAU, Alaska -

A resolution pending in the Alaska House calls on Gov. Sean Parnell to "take actions necessary" to delay implementation of the federal health care overhaul.

The House Health and Social Services Committee is scheduled to hear HJR14 on Tuesday.

The resolution, from Republican Rep. Bill Stoltze, also calls on Congress to pass legislation delaying implementation of the health care law until an analysis is done on its economic effects. It says the Legislature will not support implementation of the law until it is shown that the law doesn't "significantly" raise business costs and create "considerable economic uncertainty."

Meanwhile, Democratic Rep. Andy Josephson has proposed a resolution urging Parnell to expand Medicaid coverage under the health care law. Parnell has said he is opposed to expanding Medicaid at this time.
