Anchorage Police Department officials have released the identity of the victim in a single vehicle rollover accident that caused the closure of lanes along the Glenn Highway Wednesday.

Police have identified Cherilyn Ann Buhler, 37, last known residence in Wasilla, as the victim in the Wednesday accident.

APD investigators are still sifting through the details of the accident and are not yet able to determine a cause at this point, said APD spokesperson Dani Myren.

Myren noted she could not provide details as to whether any of the four occupants in the wrecked 2001 Chevrolet Silverado were wearing seat belts, either.

“Investigators are still working on putting those pieces together,” Myren said.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck that temporarily caused all lanes of traffic to close along the highway while a helicopter landed to transport victims.

The vehicle was occupied by four people, according to police. Buhler was pronounced deceased at the scene. One occupant was transported by helicopter to a hospital with critical injuries, while two were taken by ambulance with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The accident occurred just before 11:30 a.m., according to APD reports, just north of Eklutna near the Eklutna Flats area.

This is an ongoing investigation, police said. Additional details may be released as they come available.
