ANCHORAGE -

Police are investigating an argument which culminated in shots being fired at people in an East Anchorage residential area late Thursday night.

According to Officer Craig Evans, the altercation began earlier Thursday night at a Holiday gas station at 1405 S. Bragaw St., but continued to the 3900 block of San Roberto Avenue about three blocks north of the gas station. Evans says nobody was seriously injured in the incident.

Initial reports at about 10:30 p.m. indicated that a couple reported shots being fired at them from a dark four-door sedan, which was last seen heading north on Bragaw toward Mountain View Drive.

APD officers at the scene as of 11:30 p.m. had placed evidence markers on eight bullet casings, with several officers on ladders examining bullet marks on a nearby fourplex.

Evans says that while police don’t yet have a count on how many people were involved in the matter, investigators are looking for “the individual” who opened fire.
