ANCHORAGE -

Anchorage police have released a composite sketch of the man a 15-year-old girl says approached her and threatened to assault her Thursday.

Police say they received a call around 6:30 p.m. Thursday about a young girl who was approached by a black male she did not know while she sat on her front porch located on the 6000 block of Joseph Street. Armed with a knife, he reportedly threatened her and began cutting her clothing, while telling her he knew intimate details about her life, like her name, and where she went to school.

The victim says the suspect ran away when they both heard a car door slam. Police have been unable to apprehend the suspect, but have released a composite sketch based on the victim's description.

He is described as a thin black male, approximately six feet tall, and possibly in his 20's. He was reported to have dreadlocks with small rubber bands, and was last seen near Raspberry road in a dark colored hoodie and dark baggy blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect or this incident is asked to call police at 786-8900.
