ANCHORAGE -

Anchorage police say a bicyclist was traveling against the flow of traffic on A street when he was struck by a driver.

APD spokesperson Jennifer Castro says, "when the bicyclist tried to cross the street at Benson traffic there heading eastbound had a green light. He collided with an SUV that was traveling through the intersection."

Catsro says the man suffered serious injuries and remains hospitalized Friday.

Police received a report of a collision at 1:46 p.m. No one has been charged in the incident according to APD. A police investigation is on-going.

There are no other reports of injuries from the crash according to Castro.
