Alaska State Troopers have identified a woman found dead in Quinhagak Monday afternoon.
Troopers on Tuesday night identified the woman as 25-year-old Qunihagak resident Lisa Johnson. The state medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause and manner of death.
According to a Tuesday AST dispatch, Bethel troopers were informed of the discovery, off a trail in the village, at about 2:45 p.m. Monday.
AST spokesperson Megan Peters says no further information on the case is immediately available Tuesday.
Members of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation remain on scene in Quinhagak and are continuing their investigation, Peters said.
