A laptop containing donor financial information was stolen from the Byron Mallott campaign headquarters.

Mallott's campaign manager Mary Halloran says the campaign headquarters downtown were burglarized on May 28, and a laptop was stolen.

"The computer contained data from the Mallott campaign and its donors," Halloran said in an email. "Thankfully, the computer was password protected, and we are hopeful that no sensitive or personal information will be compromised."

All of Mallott's campaign donors have been notified of the theft, and have received helpful instruction to protect themselves and their information. A police report has been filed for the missing computer with the Anchorage police, who are investigating the matter.

Halloran says no one was inured during the burglary, for which she says they are all grateful.
