ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

A Fairbanks woman died after crashing into a moose early Saturday morning, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m., Brittney Zabriskie, 23, was behind the wheel of a blue Subaru and collided with a moose and went into a ditch near Sheep Creek Road.

“Investigation revealed the driver was killed in the collision,” troopers said in a brief dispatch.

Her body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
