Anchorage police responded Monday afternoon to a Fairview vehicle-pedestrian collision, which briefly diverted traffic on one of the area’s major southbound arteries.

APD spokesperson Dani Myren says police were first informed of the male victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision at 13th Avenue and Gambell Street, just before 5:10 p.m.

“Initial response reports it involved a truck,” Myren said. “He was semi-responsive and breathing, and he was taken to a hospital for care.”

Myren says the intersection was briefly closed by the crash, with southbound traffic on Gambell being diverted. At about 5:40 p.m., APD announced on Twitter that the intersection was open again.
